1994
Developed concept, mission and vision for CBHNP. Pennsylvania Community Providers Association identified need for provider structure for managed care

1995
Incorporated in Pennsylvania
  • Enrolled Charter Members
  • Elected Board of Directors

1996
Created infrastructure and hired employees. Association began partnership with Managed Networks of America. First services to Provider Members included:
  • Managed Care Readiness
  • Provider Based Utilization Management
  • Cost–based Reimbursement
1997
Contracted with First Priority Health (Blue Cross Northeast Pennsylvania HMO) to cover 200,000 lives

Contracted Lehigh and Northampton Counties to create Community Care Agency to provide community supports as alternative to institutional care

Contracted with the Pennsylvania Turnpike to provide Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

1998
Provided consolidated crisis management and emergency services for Allegheny County Emergency Services (ACES)

1999
Developed Core Treatment Teams with Bucks County to benefit high need population

2000
Contracted with Blue Cross NE to provide behavioral health coverage for additional 350,000 lives in Northeast Pennsylvania

Established HealthChoices initiative with Bucks County for non-residential services

Developed Allegheny County Charter Schools Program with county

2001
Contracted with Capital Area Behavioral Health Collaborative to manage HealthChoices Program for Cumberland/Perry, Dauphin, Lancaster and Lebanon Counties

2003
Undertook outcome evaluation phase of the Children’s Services model

2004
Selected to provide training and consulting services for Pennsylvania ACCESS Plus contract through Automated Health Services

Contracted with Lancaster and Lebanon Counties to serve as their Mental Retardation Intermediary Service Organization (ISO) using the Fiscal Intermediary model

2005
Contracted with Highmark, Inc. to provide after-hours utilization management

2006
Contracted with Gateway Health PlanSM to provide behavioral health management services for Members under Medicare AssuredSM Program in 23 counties

Contracted with Unison MedPlus Health Plan to provide after-hours utilization management to Medicare/Medicaid program

Selected to provide behavioral health services for HealthChoices Program in:
  • Bedford/Somerset
  • Blair
  • Franklin/Fulton
  • Lycoming/Clinton
2007
Expanded contract with Gateway Health PlanSM to provide services for Medicare AssuredSM program in five new counties:
  • Ohio Counties: Mahoning, Stark, Summit, and Trumbull
  • Pennsylvania County: Mercer
Received NCQA Accreditation for Medicaid Programs

2008
Became a member of the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies
