Vice President of Human Resources
Jason LaFrance has been with CBHNP since January 2003 and has a strong background in Human Resources with over 14 years in the field. After receiving his Bachelors degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from the Pennsylvania State University, he began his career at Book-of-the-Month Club, a subsidiary of Time Warner, now Bookspan. During his five plus years there, Jason helped build and grow the Book-of the-Month Club from 750 employees to over 1200 employees. He started as the Employment Coordinator and grew to eventually run the entire employment division where he was Supervisor of Employment while at the same time he pursued his Masters degree. After receiving his Masters degree with honors from Saint Francis University in Labor & Industrial Relations/Human Resource Management, he was offered a position at Empire Medicare Services, a division of Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Here Mr. LaFrances was a Human Resources Advisor and Senior Human Resource Generalist for two sites totaling 450 employees where he spent 4 years before joining CBHNP.
Mr. LaFrance began his career at CBHNP as the Director of Human Resources and was promoted to Vice President of the department. While helping build and define CBHNP and its overall organizational culture, Jason continued his Human Resource education through Villanova and recently passed the SPHR exam which represents/demonstrates achievement in the field through knowledge and experience, as well as a commitment to keeping up do date to the ever changing and complex world of Human Resources.
As the current Vice President of Human Resources of this growing company, he oversees CBHNP’s Human Resources department, the corporate function that supports all of CBHNP and its multiple sites. Primarily working strategically with CBHNP’s business team(s) Human Resources helps identify and deliver any Human Resource needs necessary in order to achieve CBHNP’s business goals; and to address those needs while balancing employee advocacy and becoming an overall “employer of choice”. More specifically, he and the Human Resource team are responsible and accountable for all Human Resource functions including EEO/Affirmative Action, policy development, recruiting and staffing, training & development, organizational development, employee relations, health and safety, and compensation and benefits administration.
