Sheryl M. Swanson, MBA
Vice President of Provider Network Operations

Ms. Swanson came to CBHNP in 2001 and brought with her a wealth of experience in county government, business, and human service fields where she held senior level positions. As Vice President of Provider Network Operation, Ms. Swanson oversees the contract negotiations, network development, provider credentialing, and provider relations for all public and commercial contracts. Before her promotion to vice president of this department, Ms. Swanson held the position of Director of Provider Relations where she provided leadership to the department and ensured sufficient capacity and access for Medicaid Members in the Capital Area that spans five counties in Pennsylvania.

Ms. Swanson held leadership positions at Northwestern Human Services as their Business Development Specialist and briefly at Harris Savings Bank as a Commercial Credit Analyst. At Northwestern Human Services she was responsible for new business opportunities for program sites in 48 counties in Pennsylvania in all product lines. Prior to this, Ms. Swanson had 10 years experience in York County government in Pennsylvania. As case manager for York/Adams Mental Health-Mental Retardation Program, she negotiated services, assured provider compliance, and monitored programming for these counties. Ms. Swanson subsequently served in administrative capacities in the Area Agency on Aging and the Children and Youth Services in York County, developing requests for proposals and managing provider contracts. Most recently with York County, she was the chief deputy treasurer where she coordinated with 34 county departments regarding anticipated revenue.

Ms. Swanson received her BS degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Health Policy and Administration and earned her MBA in Business Administration from York College of Pennsylvania.
