Special Projects Introduction
CBHNP is an active participant in initiatives involving
behavioral and physical managed care organizations. There are currently three
Special Projects spearheaded by the Department of Public Welfare (DPW). These
are joint initiatives, meaning the efforts are coordinated effort between
multiple groups, including behavioral health and physical health organizations.
One such initiative, domestic violence awareness, has involved multiple
activities, including consumer education, primary care Provider education,
specialty Provider education, and impact assessment. Two other similar
initiatives are in progress for childhood obesity and smoking cessation.
