Special Projects Introduction

CBHNP is an active participant in initiatives involving behavioral and physical managed care organizations. There are currently three Special Projects spearheaded by the Department of Public Welfare (DPW). These are joint initiatives, meaning the efforts are coordinated effort between multiple groups, including behavioral health and physical health organizations. One such initiative, domestic violence awareness, has involved multiple activities, including consumer education, primary care Provider education, specialty Provider education, and impact assessment. Two other similar initiatives are in progress for childhood obesity and smoking cessation.

Information about these three Special Projects is available on our website:
As part of this education effort, articles related to these topics will be posted to our website quarterly. We hope you find them helpful. If you want to go to one of these informational sites, please use the link above or select the bar on the left side of this web page titled “Special Projects”.
